Born in Toronto, Canada, Amanta Scott works in encaustic painting, bronze sculpture, interactive found object installation, surround sound audio, video, music and performance. Her paintings and sculptures are held in collections across North America and Asia.
Critically acclaimed as cutting edge, ground breaking and strikingly innovative, Amanta has exhibited and performed in art galleries, museums, theatres, concert venues and festivals throughout Asia, North America and Europe including:

Amanta has directed arts workshops across Asia, Canada, and in Puerto Rico. Also a professional musician, Amanta plays jazz and classical piano, focusing on the music of her grandfather, Cyril Scott.
A graduate of University of Toronto — B.Mus; Amanta has received various arts awards from Canada Council; Ontario Arts Council; Toronto Arts Council; two Artist Fellowship Awards: The Japan Foundation; Bunkacho — Government of Japan, and a Best in Show Award: Touched By Fire — Cooper’s Gallery, Toronto.
